Coach Brianna

Why I coach volleyball? Nothing makes me happier than seeing the knowing smile on a child’s face when he or she succeeds on the court. I get to share in the reward a player has earned when the light bulb turns on and everything finally “clicks” to accomplish a goal she once thought was out of reach. The confidence that comes with working hard and achieving in volleyball, more often than not, transfers beyond the court — into the classroom and into life.

The thrill of athletic competition is contagious! When fundamental skills become evolved, refined on-court play, we all get excited! Personal and shared successes instill a strong desire to go from “good to great” and everything about that is a win. I take my responsibility to cultivate successful student athletes very seriously — that does involve commitment, hard work, and innate communication on everyone’s part. (But, that definitely doesn’t mean we don’t have fun!)

Beyond actual volleyball skills, every kid I coach will have ample opportunity to learn and apply working through adversity, teamwork, leadership, and a sense of connection — all values and skills to apply wherever life may take them.

My history in the sport, as a player and a coach, spans my entire life. I have had the good fortune to have been taught and mentored by strong and caring role models. Coaches and players alike, have become lifelong friends and made positive impact in my life. My personal goal is to be fortunate enough to continue that tradition of competitive excellence and caring camaraderie. I strive each day — in practice and in matches — to truly earn the name “Coach.”

My Playing History

  • Played middle school volleyball at St Therese – Aurora CO
