Coach Alaina

I first came to know volleyball as a 6th grader looking for a new sport to play. It didn’t take too long for me to become absolutely obsessed with the game. I played all through middle school and Varsity all through high school. I actually was my school’s first libero! Putting on a uniform to represent myself and my team is still one of the best feelings in the world.
I started coaching alongside Coach Kyle when I was 18 and haven’t stopped since. I’ve coached a variety of rec leagues and competitive leagues for grades 2nd-8th. In 2013, I coached for Colorado Northstars Volleyball Club (13/14). I then moved to Arizona where I was the Head JV Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach for Palo Verde High School for two years. I came back to Colorado in 2018 (Arizona was way too hot for me) and started coaching the varsity level of a local middle school. I’m excited to jump back into the club atmosphere and to bring my talents to Core Values.
As a coach, I love seeing each player grow individually and exceed their own expectations. Teamwork makes the dreams work! Playing as a whole unit - win or lose - is something I value and will push the team to do. I am all about conditioning, but don’t worry, we will have fun doing it!
